California Proposition 65 Compliant

Attention California Residents:

California Proposition 65 is known as The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. To comply with this California Act, even chemicals used within the limits of national regulations and found not hazardous in the quantities associated with the product may require a warning just because the chemical is present. Arsenic in GAC

California requires the following notice:

WARNING: Some GAC contains arsenic, components also may leach chemicals, which known to the State of California, can cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

 For the highest level of assurance that leaching of any type is not occurring a laboratory water test would be recommended.

Crystal Quest® uses Arsenic-Free GAC™ which is a coconut shell based granulated activated carbon (pre-washed and dust-free), in all filtration systems and replacement cartridges.

Toxicology testing is also performed to assure that GAC raw material is free from silver (Ag), Arsenic (As) and Antimony (Sb).
